A Year of Engineering

A

I must say, if the younger me saw the me today he will definitely would have been proud   ashamed. I would have spat on my current state as I always dreamt of doing something different, now I am just another engineering student, Meh! Life is indeed weird. I don’t regret my choice of college , it’s everything I wanted from a college- an okay campus with parking + canteen + ” We don’t give  a shit about you attitude ” . So if any of you readers are interested in a college like that in Bangalore, and  need them to have an okay list of placements then Dayanand Sagar College is perfect for you.

This was indeed a new chapter in my life, school friends and junior college ones split up everyone went their own way. I had to start from the beginning. I even wrote about my first two days in college before I stopped writing. Things got better, there were dramas, backstabbing, broken hearts. A typical teenage life. I also had a problem with alcohol. I used to drink almost everyday but not like drunk drink but still…. Got a small beer belly( Achievement Unlocked?)  I don’t know when to break stuff into paragraphs so I will simply break them for fun, I also think this is the most pointless post ever.

A sad fact I noticed is that 93.86 % of the students in the college is not actually interested in doing whatever course they are doing. It’s just like a program or algorithm they are just here because that’s what they are instructed to do, the environment is encouraging for people like me but it might certainly discourage the others who are actually passionate. When will we realize that there is more to the world than being an Engineer/ Doctor/ Lawyer/ Manager?  I instantly throw my respect at people who just drop everything to follow their passion.

Money can get you anything in life. Now let’s not get philosophical and stuff but from my point of view and from what I have seen money does get you everything including happiness unless you are an orphan and have some terminal illness. That’s what I learnt in college, you can get attendance, question paper, everything you would want with some $$.

Don’t trust people blindly. Self explanatory.

Classes are retarded, many folks had told me that the classes are useless and teachers suck or one just won’t be interested to listen to it in college, this is very much true, no one care. And at the end of the day you just study by yourself and you somehow get through.

I am glad I found some really good friends,I have seen quite a lot in this one year, was definitely entertaining. I also realized that   one should try to make as many as friends as possible because at the end of the day only a handful will be there for you when you need them.  And whether you like it or not you are going to be stuck with your classmates for a long time so try adjusting ( I still have to work on this part). Also I never realized that there are some friends who you need not be in touch but that bond will still be there, I was a fool not to realize this before

And I learnt bus etiquette  which I shall post in a better way later when I have a headache.

Now thin, what did the post do? Did it mean anything to you? Did it help you? I think not, I think it wasted your time. Now you can never get back that. What will you do?
